through sport and healthy lifestyles. BlazeSports provides sports training, competitions, summer camps and

National Boccia Championships Head to Georgia
BlazeSports will host the U.S. National Boccia Championships July 9-12 at the
Roosevelt Warm Springs Institute for Rehabilitation in Warm Springs, Ga. Athletes
with physical disability from around the country are expected to compete in this
unique sport of skill.

Boccia is a game of precision open to wheelchair athletes with cerebral palsy and
persons who have conditions that affect all four limbs such as high level spinal cord
injury, muscular dystrophy and multiple sclerosis. The object of the game is to place
balls closest to a target ball on a long, narrow court. There are divisions for athletes
who throw the ball and for athletes who use a ramp to propel the balls onto the court.

Trailblazers Leadership Training Kickoff a Success!
Atlanta area youth with physical disabilities developed leadership skills while building
friendships with their peers during the launch of BlazeSports Trailblazers Youth Leadership
Training March 28-29 at Kennesaw State University. The training focused on developing
leadership skills, self responsibility, healthy lifestyle behaviors and prevocational skills
for young people with disability aged 13 and up.

A two-day retreat, including an orientation session with parents or guardians, kicked off the
program and will be followed by three interactive workshops held once per month. The
Trailblazers program will culminate with a graduation ceremony June 14. Participating youth
will receive a graduation certificate and also have many opportunities to apply their leadership

practiced in approximately 15 countries worldwide and is governed by the IPC. It follows the
rules of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) with minor modifications to eligibility,
sports equipment and officiating rules. Instead of skates, players use two-blade sledges that
